Finding Government Information @the Library
The Library subscribes to several online databases with U.S. federal government information:
- LexisNexis Congressional - for legislative information
- LexisNexis Statistical - for statistics from federal, state and international sources
- LexisNexis Government Periodicals Index - for summaries of articles found in government periodicals
- National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS) Abstracts Database - indexes more than 90,000 criminal justice, juvenile justice, and substance abuse resources
- STAT-USA - for business, trade and economic information
- USA Trade Online - for import and export statistics (Password required--ask someone at the Reference Desk to log you in)

2007 Collection Assessment Grant Winners
It's my pleasure to announce the Albertsons Library 2007 Collection Assessment Grant winners. Now in it's third year, this Library grant program awards $3000 to each successful team of faculty and library liaisons to purchase material to enhance the Library's collection in their specific discipline(s).

- Saturdays: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Sundays: 12:00 noon - 7:00 pm
- Special Collections will be open Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Summer hours @thelibrary
The last day of the semester is today, Thursday, May 10th, and the library will be closing at 6:00 pm. On Friday, May 11th we will be open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and closed Saturday and Sunday.

Open 24 hours: the library
Check it out! The first floor of the Albertsons Library will be open 24 hours a day starting 10:00 AM Sunday, May 6, through 6:00 PM Thursday, May 10.
Also, staff will be on hand to answer questions and check out first floor reserve materials; an officer from the Boise Police Department will be on duty at the library all night and can provide escort service; and coffee will be available thanks to the folks of the Associated Students of Boise State University (ASBSU).

Library grants deadline
Albertsons Library will be providing eight grants of $3,000.00 each to faculty for collection development in subject areas where the Library has serious gaps in currency and/or relevancy. Please send your completed applications to the Coordinator of Collection Development, Peggy Cooper by Monday, May 7, 2007.
The intent of these grants is to enlist the help of Boise State University faculty in identifying areas of the collection needing special attention. Faculty or departments who are interested in applying for a grant should begin the process by contacting their library liaison.
The grant recipients will be announced on Friday, May 18, 2007. Call Peggy at 426-2311 for additional information.
